David has always had a natural talent for making unique wooden items, which started
when he attended a city & guilds course in cabinet making. This is when he found
out that he had a flair for woodturning and since then he has never looked back.
David pride’s himself on the attention to detail and service that he give’s to each
of our client’s. Which is reflected in the feedback he has received.
I like so many other people and my partner find buying wooden products over the Internet
very difficult as we both think that you do not get the tactility of the item that
you are looking at. That is why we try to give an in-depth description to all our
items so that you can get a better idea of what the items look like in the flesh
and how the light plays it part.
As with all wooden ideas that have been hand crafted, the major of our costs are
in the wood, because we have to buy the wood kiln dried to avoid warping and splitting.
The major of our wood comes from the Highlands of Scotland, so the shipping cost
also plays it part in the item price.
I turn wood for a living, and enjoy making items that are going to give pleasure
to others and myself while I am making it. I am a very critical person so the quality
of my products have to been at a very high standard or otherwise it does not get
listing and gets sent to the big recycling centre in the sky.
We also like to make sure that the item is received in the same way that it leaves
us. All our items are wrapped in bubble wrap, boxed and wrapped in brown paper.
This way we can ensure that you will be happy with the item once you have received
it.
All our prices on our web site are at a faction of the cost you would pay in a retail
outlet.
