This set has a close grain patternation which has a shimmering effect when held under the light.  On one side of the bowl the colours range from a creamy golden brown to a medium brown.  On the other side of the bowl the colours range from a medium to dark brown.  The lighter shade of the bowl has a golden shimmering effect.
